Summary
1 vs. 100 was a multiplayer Xbox Live version of the trivia-based game show of the same name. It was removed from the service on February 15, 2010, just under three months after its release. At the start of each 1 vs. 100 Live session, one player was chosen as "The One," while 100 others became "The Mob." All remaining players joined "The Crowd." Selection was determined by weekly, round, and lifetime (seasonal) scores. The gameplay closely mirrored the original show: a question was presented, and both The One and The Mob had to choose an answer from three options. If The One answered incorrectly, the game ended and the prize money was divided among The Mob. If The One answered correctly, The Mob members who got the question wrong were eliminated. The prize amount increased every time ten members of The Mob were removed. The One had the option to cash out at various points or risk their earnings by continuing. The Live edition introduced "The Crowd," enabling hundreds of thousands of players to participate alongside The Mob and The One. The top three players in The Crowd received an Xbox Live Arcade game as a reward.
