Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies

Summary

Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies is an air combat simulator that lets players engage in semi-realistic aerial battles using a variety of fighter aircraft, such as the F-22 Raptor, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-117 Nighthawk, U-2 Dragon Lady, C-130 Hercules, and SR-71 Blackbird. Across eighteen missions, players will tackle objectives ranging from destroying enemy structures to participating in one-on-one and free-for-all dogfights. As the game progresses, players can enhance their aircraft with defensive systems, powerful weapons, and other equipment upgrades.

Storyline

The continent of Usea was hit by an asteroid, resulting in the deaths of half a million people. Taking advantage of the chaos, the neighboring nation of Erusea launched an invasion and seized nearly all of Usea. From the eastern coast, the Independent States Allied Forces (ISAF) work to reclaim lost territory and confront the Erusean forces in the skies. A top-tier pilot operating under the alias Mobius 1 is deployed on multiple missions to combat the Eruseans and support ISAF in turning the tide of the war. As Mobius 1 carries out these operations, they begin to understand the devastating effects of war on civilians and the enemy pilots caught in the conflict.
