Summary
You are outmatched. You are vastly outnumbered. You must still find a way to win. These are your orders.
Humanity has already waged its war against the machines—and been defeated. AI death squads patrol every planet and every wormhole. The last remnants of human civilization are trapped in floating enclaves in orbit, while the AIs have turned their gaze beyond the galaxy, toward unknown alien threats or possibilities.
This momentary distraction is our only chance: a small resistance, too insignificant to register on the AI central command’s radar, has endured. These are the forces you will lead. The AI subcommanders will kill you on sight—but your advantage lies in silencing them quietly, before central processing even realizes the danger is there.
You do have some advantages. Your ships are faster. You have secure AI protocols to manage defenses and mining stations. You have production methods that can build fully-equipped unmanned fighters in seconds. You may never have more than a few thousand ships against their tens of thousands, but through clever strategy, you must somehow reach and destroy the heavily protected AI cores.
Venture into the galaxy, steal AI technology, retake the planets you need to achieve your goals, and save what little remains of humanity. But draw too much attention to yourself, and the full power of the AI overlords will descend upon you.
