Storyline
Alan Wake vanished in 2010. A renowned author from New York City, he was on a vacation with his wife, Alice Wake, in the Pacific Northwest when he encountered a supernatural force of darkness. This force turned his horror novel into reality. Wake battled the malevolent presence, ultimately driving it back to its origin—a nightmarish realm hidden beneath a lake near the quiet town of Bright Falls. He penned a conclusion to his story, freeing Alice from the darkness but trapping himself in the Dark Place. Alan Wake is not dead, though he has often longed for it. For thirteen years, he has been held captive in the Dark Place, where his fears, nightmares, and stories become real. For thirteen years, he has struggled to maintain his sanity and write a story powerful enough to alter reality and allow him to escape. So far, he has not succeeded. Saga Anderson is a top FBI agent known for solving the unsolvable. She arrives in the remote town of Bright Falls, Pacific Northwest, to investigate a series of ritualistic killings. Anderson’s investigation quickly descends into horror when she discovers pages of a chilling story that begin to manifest around her, hinting at a terrifying connection to Alan Wake, the writer who disappeared from the area over ten years ago.
