Summary
Alan Wake Remastered is an enhanced edition of the original psychological horror action-adventure title created by Remedy Entertainment. The game maintains its central story, following acclaimed thriller author Alan Wake as he battles writer's block. He travels with his wife, Alice, to the quiet town of Bright Falls in hopes of finding inspiration. Soon after their arrival, Alice vanishes without a trace. Alan discovers pages of a thriller he has no memory of writing, and the events from the manuscript begin manifesting in reality. He must confront otherworldly creatures known as the "Taken," who are bound to the power of darkness. The remastered edition offers improved visuals and better performance, while keeping the gameplay and plot aligned with the original, emphasizing themes of reality, storytelling, and the influence of written words. It also features the two narrative expansions "The Signal" and "The Writer."
Storyline
When bestselling author Alan Wake's wife vanishes during their vacation, he discovers pages from a thriller he has no memory of writing. A sinister force lurks in the quiet town of Bright Falls, driving Wake to the edge of his mind as he battles to uncover the truth and rescue the woman he loves.
