Alan Wake: The Signal

Summary

The Signal is an extra episode for Alan Wake, made available through a DLC. The DLC was free for anyone who purchased a new copy of Alan Wake. While this episode is part of "Season One," it is considered to be more self-contained and special in nature.

Storyline

Picking up where the main game left off, Alan finds himself outside the diner in the nighttime version of Bright Falls, which swiftly transitions to daylight. Stepping inside the diner, a strange and unsettling déjà vu dream replays events similar to when Alan first arrived, everything feeling oddly familiar yet misplaced. Alan can't recall what happened before this moment, but he knows he must head to the back of the diner, which he forcefully enters. Zane speaks with Alan and cautions him not to go any further, urging him to stay focused. Zane shows a video of Alan battling reality and recounts the unfolding events when Alan finally recognizes his location: The Dark Place.
