Alien vs Predator: The Last of His Clan
Summary
In the year 2593, on the world of Alpha Centauri 3, Predators seeking a new hunting ground leave behind Alien eggs. The creatures quickly emerge and eradicate the human settlers. But when the Predators return to begin their hunt, they discover they are outmatched and meet the same end. Only one Predator remains. He believes that among the hatched Aliens was a queen who laid more eggs, accounting for the overwhelming numbers. Determined to restore his honor, he sets out to track down and destroy the queen. The lone Predator must progress through a series of side-scrolling levels to reach the queen, battling Aliens in all their forms—facehuggers emerging from eggs, chestbursters, and fully developed warriors. A variety of weapons are at his disposal: the primary tool is his wrist blades. Additional firepower comes from the shoulder cannon, cutting disks, and bombs, which must be collected throughout the levels. Bombs serve both as weapons and for breaking through obstacles. To avoid combat entirely, the Predator can use his invisibility cloaking device, though it drains his energy. Recharging it requires gathering energy pickups. Hidden within the levels are keys that unlock doors leading to new areas. A compact radar map aids in navigating the complex corridors and alerts the Predator to nearby enemies.
