Priced affordably during the height of the WWF's initial popularity, this wrestling game introduces a unique twist with its focus on tag-team play. Each player chooses two wrestlers from the available roster, and when the one inside the ring is in trouble, they can retreat to the ropes and tag in their partner, who then steps in to let the first wrestler regain strength. You can choose to play single matches, either solo or with a friend, or dive into a complete tournament featuring three rounds of varying lengths. The control scheme doesn't require rapid joystick movements, instead offering a range of kicks, throws, and punches activated by simple stick inputs. When opponents are in close range, they grapple, giving you the opportunity to lift and deliver a powerful piledriver to your foe.
