In CUBELLO, players use the pointer function of the Wii Remote to aim and fire colored cubes at a floating, rotating 3D object known as a Cubello, which is made up of multiple colored cubes. The goal is to remove cubes from the Cubello by matching four or more of the same color, gradually revealing its inner core. At the start of each stage, players have a limited number of cubes in a "magazine," but as they remove cubes from the Cubello, more are added to the magazine. Unlike games such as Puzzle Bobble, where the aim is to clear specific colored or shaped objects, CUBELLO continuously supplies cubes in colors already present in the magazine or on the stage. This means players must strategize to eliminate a color from both the magazine and the stage simultaneously to succeed. A "Bonus Mode" on the slot machine device allows players to shoot an unlimited number of cubes of a single color, while "Super Bonus Mode" provides cubes of varying colors depending on where they are launched. Players also lose cubes from their magazine if the Cubello collides with the screen toward them. In addition to progressing through increasingly challenging stages, the game offers an endless play mode for continuous gameplay.
