Assassin's Creed III is a mobile game created by Gameloft and launched in 2012 alongside the main title. It follows the Mohawk Assassin Connor and takes place during the American Revolutionary War.
Connor eliminates a squad of British soldiers on the forest frontier, acting under the command of Samuel Adams. After dispatching their commander, the remaining soldiers pursue him, but Connor evades capture. Suddenly, Charles Lee emerges, causing Connor to fall into a nearby lake. While unconscious, he remembers the moment Lee destroyed his village. Upon regaining consciousness, Connor becomes an assassin for the American cause, targeting Templars over the years, including Johnson and John Pitcairn. He also supports George Washington during the Battle of Bunker Hill. Later, he saves Washington by killing Thomas Hickey amid the Great Fire of New York and helps Benjamin Franklin escape from a group of Redcoats. Haytham Kenway is revealed to be a traitor to the American cause, and Connor fakes his capture by the Redcoats to kill him. Once the war concludes, Adams reveals Lee's whereabouts, prompting Connor to track him down. Lee orders a group of Redcoats to attack Connor, who defeats them all. Lee then calls in a more formidable Templar, which Connor also kills. He chases Lee into a nearby tavern, where Lee claims the Americans no longer support Connor and dies, likely from poison. Connor says, "Goodbye, Charles," and walks away.
