Life is peaceful in the little Armorican village as the villagers carry on with their daily routines. Asterix and Obelix chase wild boar, the blacksmith bickers with the fishmonger, and the village chief parades through the square standing on his shield.
After a successful day of hunting, Asterix and Obelix return to a village in chaos—burning and looted by the Romans! Determined to save their friends, they set off with their loyal Dogmatix by their side. Their adventure will lead them through Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt, and ultimately to Rome, in a desperate bid to rescue their people from the grip of Emperor Caesar.
