Summary
The game centers on its namesake protagonist, the demigod Asura, as he pursues vengeance against the pantheon of demigods who turned against him. The narrative unfolds like an episodic series of cinematic shorts, complete with opening and closing credits, with gameplay seamlessly woven into the visuals. Players alternate between third-person combat and interactive segments, using quick-time event prompts to influence the action. Due to its distinctive presentation, the game has been dubbed an "interactive anime" by the press. As explained by producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, *Asura's Wrath* draws from elements of Hinduism and Buddhism, merging them with science fiction. The main character is inspired by the Asuras, powerful and ambitious entities from Hindu and Buddhist mythology.
