Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana is a turn-based RPG featuring alchemy-based gameplay and a rich narrative. It serves as the sixth main entry in the Atelier series and the first title in the Iris subseries, marking the first Atelier game to be released outside of Japan. The story centers on Klein Kiesling, a young alchemist traveling to deepen his knowledge of alchemy alongside his companion, the Wood Mana named Popo. One day, he is rescued from a monster by Lita Blanchimont, a young Galgazit and monster hunter. Lita soon invites Klein to join the Galgazit, and they begin working together in the town of Kavoc. However, Klein soon finds himself entangled in various conflicts and ultimately drawn into a mission to save both the world and Lita.
Regallzine. A world sustained by the Great Spirit Mana and its elemental forces. Every material and object in this world is shaped by the elements. The people live under the protection and guidance of Mana. To the people of Regallzine, Mana exists as a natural part of life, like the wind and trees. Yet, only a rare few possess the ability to create from nothing using the power of Mana—these individuals are known as alchemists. Klein Kiesling, 17 years old and the grandson of the renowned alchemist Dafune, sets out on a journey with Popo, the wood Mana, in the wake of his grandmother's passing, determined to surpass her as an alchemist. As he treks through the dark forest of South Esvior, Klein is confronted by a fearsome monster. He fights valiantly, but his Mana power steadily wanes. Just as all hope seems lost, a beautiful young girl named Lita appears and saves Klein from certain death. Lita is a monster hunter from the nearby town of Kavok. She warns Klein that the road to Kavok is perilous and that he will need her assistance. Arrogant and proud, Klein refuses her help, insisting he can make it through the forest alone. After parting ways, Klein is filled with regret for not expressing his gratitude to Lita for saving his life. Emerging from the forest, Klein stands atop a cliff overlooking the vast plains of Esvior. Before him lies a city built on a towering mountain. The city Klein sees is the infamous Avenberry, known throughout the Esviore region as the legendary "city in the sky." Klein and Lita do not yet realize, that their journey will lead them to the gates of the heavens, unveiling the ancient path to the fabled 'city in the sky.'
