Summary
Aura Kingdom is set in a beautifully detailed, anime-inspired world filled with rich visuals and expansive landscapes. The game features a largely open world, with optional instances that can be tackled solo or in a group. Players can choose from a range of classes, with ten currently available and a new one on the way as of May 2014. Character customization is extensive, offering a wide selection of hairstyles, facial features, and more. After creating their character, players select four Eidolons to accompany them through the game, with the potential to unlock additional ones as they progress. Throughout the game, players interact with numerous non-player characters and can enter combat with monsters outside the main hub. The combat system revolves around using a diverse set of class-specific skills to battle enemies, who also have their own abilities. Much of the gameplay involves fighting and defeating monsters while completing quests. What sets the combat apart is its dynamic nature—while players must click to initiate combat, they can also move freely to dodge and use their skills creatively. Each Eidolon can fight alongside the player and join in with powerful combination attacks. This makes the combat system anything but passive. Beyond combat, players can participate in various activities like fishing, crafting, and more. Although Aura Kingdom is free to play, it also offers Aeria Points (AP), which can be purchased and used to acquire exclusive items from the Item Mall. Players can also earn and use in-game currency—gold and silver—through various means. The game supports trading through personal stalls in Navea and the Auction House. Additionally, players can send items to each other using the in-game mail system with a cash-on-delivery option.
Storyline
The story of Aura Kingdom centers on an Envoy of Gaia who lives in Port Skandia and is later joined by an Eidolon. Haunted by the terrifying transformation of another Envoy into a demon, the protagonist leaves Port Skandia in an attempt to rid himself of the Eidolon, but fails. After dreaming of a fierce battle between the Church of Navea and a demonic army, the Envoy finds himself thrust into that very conflict, now fighting alongside the Church to defeat Reinhardt and his legions of demons.
