You might have played Axiom Verge or heard it cited as a standard for indie “metroidvania” experiences. Axiom Verge 2 continues the same story as Axiom Verge 1 but is a wholly original game: featuring fresh characters, new abilities, new foes, and an entirely new world. It can be enjoyed either before or after the first game.

Storyline

As the follow-up to the highly praised Axiom Verge, this game takes you on a journey through an Earth-like world filled with the remnants of an advanced, ancient civilization. But beyond the edges of reality, something ominous lies in wait, ready to draw you in. Get to know Indra, the enigmatic billionaire at the helm of the global Globe 3 empire. What strange world has she uncovered? And who—or what—are the voices that seem to be calling out to her?
