Summary

A side-scrolling action game centered around a young hero wielding the power of lightning, who fights for freedom against the oppressive goals of a powerful organization. When the storm breaks, a new legend emerges.

Storyline

It is the near future, and a new form of septimal power has appeared. At first, the public regarded these abilities with fear, but a massive corporation called the Sumeragi Group restored peace and stability by assuming responsibility for overseeing those who wield these powers. Yet this peace has come at a price—the adepts are now subjugated by Sumeragi. What Sumeragi calls a sanctuary for adepts is, in reality, a detention facility. Harsh experiments are carried out daily on the prisoners held within. For years, the Sumeragi Group has concealed the true purpose of its research. But now, a group that has uncovered Sumeragi’s true intentions has begun to fight back. They call themselves QUILL. A militant resistance faction and branch of an international human rights organization, they are committed to defending adepts. Gunvolt, the protagonist of this tale, is also part of QUILL. The story begins when QUILL assigns him a mission: to eliminate Lumen, a virtual pop star.
