Baldur's Gate III: The Black Hound was a scrapped role-playing video game created by Black Isle Studios and intended for release by Interplay Entertainment on Microsoft Windows. Revealed in 2002 with the working titles FR6 and Project Jefferson, it was meant to serve as the third core title in the Baldur's Gate series, built around the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition rule system. Work on the game was stopped in 2003 after Interplay Entertainment lost the rights to produce additional Dungeons & Dragons titles for PC.
