Summary
Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses follows Barbie as Genevieve, one of twelve sisters living joyfully with their father, the king. Worried that the spirited and free-spirited princesses need more discipline to become proper royalty, the king invites his cousin, Duchess Rowena, to reside in the castle. Instead of offering guidance, Rowena imposes strict rules, banning singing and dancing and suppressing the princesses' unique personalities. The sisters stumble upon a magical, enchanted realm and flee from Rowena's oppressive rule. But when Genevieve discovers that their father's life is at risk, the princesses must come together to rescue the king and save their kingdom.
