Summary
Battleborn is a next-generation hero shooter crafted by the team behind the acclaimed and record-breaking Borderlands series. Set in a far-off future, the fate of the final star in a decaying universe rests on a new generation of warriors who must unite despite their differences to confront an overwhelming threat. Select from a wide array of formidable heroes and team up with friends for an adrenaline-packed cooperative campaign, or go head-to-head in high-octane multiplayer battles. Console editions of the game support split-screen co-op across all modes.
Storyline
Battleborn takes place in a far-off sci-fi fantasy future where every star in the universe has been extinguished by the brutal Varlesi—except one. That last glowing star, Solus, becomes the final symbol of hope. Amid the devastation, various surviving species gather within the Solus system and establish five factions, each shaped by its own ideals. From these factions rise powerful champions known as battleborn, who battle over the system’s dwindling resources. Now, the Varlesi are returning to complete their destructive mission, and only a united force of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes can stand in their way.
