After setting their earlier online shooters in WWII, the Vietnam War, and contemporary times, Battlefield 2142 shifted to a distant future where a sudden new ice age plunged the globe into chaos. The little land left unfrozen can barely sustain the planet’s population, forcing players to take sides in a massive struggle for survival between two dominant military forces: the European Union and the newly established Pan Asian Coalition.
