Summary

Global Assault is the follow-up to the original BattleTanx. It introduces a wide array of new weapons, vehicles, and abilities that weren't present in the first game. The title also brings in a destructible environment, giving players the power to manipulate and wreak massive havoc on the battlefield. Up to two players can team up in co-op mode, or four players can battle it out as members of one of the many tank gangs across all-new maps and expanded game modes.

Storyline

On January 13, 2006, a Queenlord named Cassandra is secretly watching Griffin Spade’s family, ordering her forces to abduct Griffin’s son, Brandon, and eliminate the rest. Griffin and his soldiers manage to drive back the attackers, but Cassandra quickly gains the upper hand by mentally controlling Griffin’s own troops. Griffin and Madison flee San Francisco and set out in pursuit of Cassandra across the United States, ultimately trapping her in Washington, D.C. However, Cassandra escapes with Brandon to Great Britain, and Griffin and Madison give chase. They form a new army in Europe and track Cassandra through England, France, and Germany. While in Paris, they uncover the truth that Cassandra unleashed the virus in 2001 to eradicate all women on Earth who lacked the power of the Edge.
