Storyline

After her devastating loss to the Battletoads on Ragnarok's World, the disgraced Dark Queen fled to the farthest corners of the universe. Weeks turned into months, and Professor T. Bird and the Battletoads—Zitz, Rash, and Pimple—began to forget her vengeful promise. But when an enigmatic energy beam from deep space cripples Earth's entire military, and a massive, city-sized vessel named the Colossus crashes through the moon, the Professor knows instinctively that the Dark Queen is at it again, plotting her next galactic takeover. He’s right, of course—but what he doesn’t yet know is that this time, the Queen is playing it smart. She’s made a sinister alliance with the equally nefarious Shadow Boss! That means the Battletoads will now have to contend not only with the Queen and her loyal henchmen—General Slaughter, Big Blag, and Robo Manus—but also with Abobo and Roper, the Shadow Boss’s own wicked underlings! So here’s the situation, toads: the Dark Queen has some heavy reinforcements and she’s coming for your planet. What are you going to do about it? First things first—you need to even the odds! Enter the dynamic duo, Billy and Jimmy Lee, better known as the Double Dragon. They’re more than ready to join the fight, especially since the Shadow Boss is their number one nemesis!
