Summary

Battletoads & Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team is the fourth entry in the Battletoads series. This game is a crossover with the Double Dragon line of beat 'em up titles created by Technos Japan. It originally launched on the NES, with later versions released for the Super NES, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and Nintendo Game Boy. Although Double Dragon characters appear in the game, Technos Japan did not participate in its development.

Storyline

After her humiliating loss to the Battletoads on Ragnarok's World, the vengeful Dark Queen fled into the farthest corners of the universe. Weeks turned into months, and her ominous promise of retaliation faded from the minds of Professor T. Bird and the Battletoads—Zitz, Rash, and Pimple. But when a strange energy beam from deep space cripples Earth's armed forces and a massive ship dubbed the Colossus crashes through the moon, Professor T. instantly suspects the Dark Queen is at work, plotting her next move for galactic domination. He’s right, of course, but what he doesn’t know is that this time, the Queen is playing it smart. She’s secretly joined forces with the equally sinister Shadow Boss! That means the Battletoads now face not only the Queen and her henchmen—General Slaughter, Big Blag, and Robo Manus—but also Abobo and Roper, the Shadow Boss’s own wicked lackeys! So here’s the situation, toads: the Dark Queen has some serious new allies and she’s coming to conquer Earth. What are you going to do about it? First things first—you need to even the odds! Enter the dynamic duo, Billy and Jimmy Lee, better known as the Double Dragon. They’re more than ready to jump into the fray, especially since the Shadow Boss is their number one nemesis!
