Summary
Below the Root is an adventure game launched in 1984 by Windham Classics, a subsidiary of Spinnaker Software. The game shares its name with *Below the Root*, the first novel in Zilpha Keatley Snyder's Green Sky Trilogy, which was published from 1975 to 1977. It is considered an early precursor to what would later be called the Metroidvania genre.
