Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, often called simply Big Rigs, is a 2003 third-person racing game developed by Stellar Stone and published by GameMill Publishing for Microsoft Windows PCs. Upon release, the game was widely considered incomplete, with many features not functioning correctly or at all. The game's packaging claims the main goal is to drive a semi-truck, or "big rig," to deliver illegal cargo while evading the police. However, the game itself contains no police presence, no cargo to deliver, and no attached trailer. Instead, the gameplay focuses on racing against other drivers to reach the finish line. In early versions, the AI-controlled opponents remained stationary and never moved from the starting line. A later update allowed these opponents to move, but they would stop just before reaching the finish. The in-game timer is purely decorative and does not affect gameplay. Additionally, due to the absence of collision detection, there are no obstacles to avoid, and players can pass through environments or even exit the game entirely. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing received overwhelmingly negative reviews. Critics primarily criticized its "clearly unfinished" state, citing missing collision detection, unrealistic physics, numerous bugs, poor graphics, and a lack of core gameplay features. As a result, the game is now considered one of the worst video games ever made.
