BioMetal is a side-scrolling action shooter. There are two sets of weapon upgrades—three stages each for lasers and missiles. The war that tore the galaxy apart and drained its resources is over. A fleet was dispatched on a mission to locate new natural resources, but it never came back. Its final transmission revealed that the enemy had developed one final experiment—an unnatural fusion of the ferocity of animals and the precision of machines. These beings were dubbed BioMetal. The MF-92GX Halbard mothership has been deployed to eliminate the threat before it becomes unstoppable. You command the MF-92GX Halbard fighter, armed with the experimental Gel Analog Mutant weapon. The Gel can be charged aboard the ship and deployed either as a protective barrier around your craft or hurled at enemy forces.
