Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director's Cut is an upgraded remake and director's version of the iconic 1996 point-and-click adventure game Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars. In contrast to the original, where only George Stobbart is playable, Nicole Collard can now be controlled during specific parts of the game. While some puzzles from the original have been made easier, new first-person puzzles have been introduced. The game now highlights interactive areas and includes a hint system, as well as a journal where the player can take notes. Some dialogue and cutscenes from the original have been removed, and the remaining cutscenes have had the blood edited out.
