Caesar II

Summary

Caesar II takes place in ancient Rome and challenges you to become the next great Caesar. You begin with a single province and must build a thriving, efficient city. To succeed, you need to manage the water supply effectively, maintain strong law enforcement, and ensure your citizens have access to education, entertainment, public baths, and temples—structures that also store your wealth and risk being robbed without proper security. At various points, perhaps multiple times, you'll have to defend your province from hostile tribes that oppose your presence. You'll also need to connect the villages within your territory using roads and develop industries such as stone mining and grape production, which can later be sold in the markets of your growing city.
