Capcom Generations (known as Capcom Generation in Japan) was a retrospective series consisting of five compilations featuring Capcom's most iconic titles from their early years. All of them, except for Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, which was developed for the SNES, were direct ports of the original arcade games. The series launched on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1998. In Europe, only the first four volumes were made available, while the fifth was renamed Street Fighter Collection 2. North America only received the final volume, Street Fighter Collection 2. This changed later when the games were rebranded and released as the Capcom Classics Collection.
