Summary

Cartoon Universe was a browser-based game created by WB Games Montreal, bringing together characters from Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo. It was presented as a free-to-play online environment designed to offer a secure and social space for children to embark on adventures, tackle puzzles, and play games alongside their favorite Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo characters. The game was available at no cost, with optional microtransactions and a subscription model. It launched an open beta in 2012 and officially released for web browsers in May 2013, followed shortly by an iOS version. After its closure, the mini-games were repackaged in Cartoon Universe: Arcade, while Wayforward transformed the narrative content into Cartoon Universe: Adventure, replacing the original animated cutscenes with character illustrations during story segments.
