Catch the Sperm is a promotional game designed to increase awareness about HIV. It was created for the Stop AIDS campaign in 2001 (a collaborative prevention initiative by the Swiss Federal Ministry of Health and the Swiss Aids Federation) in Switzerland. In the game, the player must defend a couple during sex by firing condoms at sperm cells and HIV viruses to intercept them. The condom gun is positioned on the right side of the screen and can be controlled vertically using the mouse, while sperm cells and HIV viruses appear on the left side and move toward the other end. The objective is to catch as many sperm cells and HIV viruses as possible within 90 seconds. If an HIV virus makes it across the screen, the game ends immediately. Players earn points for each successful catch, but each shot fired also deducts points.
