Step into the realm of the Wee People and do everything you can to protect them from the ruthless QueenPede, who will go to any lengths to wipe out this gentle race of tiny humanoids. This reimagined version of the iconic Atari title casts you as Wally, the village’s modest bookkeeper, who is swiftly called to action to operate the colony’s bug blaster and embark on a mission to thwart QueenPede and her menacing army—spiders, scorpions, and fleas—as they threaten the Wee People’s way of life. Explore brand-new 3D environments, unlock powerful weapons, and master fresh abilities. And if you're skilled enough, you may just uncover the legendary Centipede.
Storyline
The tale follows a collection of villages known as Weedom, where the inhabitants live in peace with each other and the natural world. According to an ancient legend, every hundred years, a group of "armored beasts" rises from "the dark core of the earth" to serve their ruler, Queen Pede, and assist her in her campaign to destroy the Wee people. Each time this occurs, a magical staff is used to select a hero to stand against the threat. Though the insects are always defeated, the villagers believe the danger has been vanquished for good—only for the cycle to repeat, as the legend foretells. The player takes on the role of Wally, the hero chosen for this era, who must command the shooter, a vehicle designed—true to its name—for firing upon the insect threat. With this, the player begins a journey through five distinct worlds: Weedom, Frostonia, Inferium, Enigma, and Evile (each containing around five levels, with the final level in each featuring a boss battle), in a quest to finally break the curse.
