

A top-down racing game that uses rotational sprite scaling. The player navigates through a variety of winding tracks, striving to cross the finish line before time runs out. Chequered Flag introduces a Pit-stop system, a feature previously seen a year earlier in Taito's *Continental Circus*. If the player's vehicle takes too much damage, a pit-stop is required to perform repairs. A 'damage meter' at the bottom of the screen indicates the extent of the damage, clearly showing which car parts need fixing: the Engine, Front Tires, Rear Tires, and Brakes.
