Summary

Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros. brings you back to Mario's first showdown with Bowser. Now available on the Game Boy Advance, experience all the fun of the original—mushroom collecting, Koopa trooping, and chasing high scores. Leap onto flagpoles, pipes, and bricks as you make your way through the Mushroom Kingdom. For the first time, two players can take turns using a single Game Pak or connect their GBAs with a Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable for shared play.

Storyline

One day, the Mushroom Kingdom fell under attack by the Koopa, a clan of turtles who wielded potent dark magic. With their sorcery, they turned all the Mushroom People into lifeless objects—rocks, bricks, and even horsehair plants—leading to the kingdom's collapse. Only Princess Toadstool has the power to break the curse and bring her people back to life, but she is imprisoned by King Koopa himself. Hearing of the princess's distress, Mario embarks on a journey through 32 perilous stages to defeat the Turtle Tribe and rescue the once-harmonious kingdom.
