Summary

Tom Hansen is an ordinary member of the U.S. Coast Guard until his team gets an enigmatic directive to carry out a perilous rescue operation amid the fury of a winter storm. As the seas grow increasingly violent, Tom and his crew locate the target—a derelict Russian whaling ship. They step aboard, only to realize the vessel has been vacated by its human occupants. But they're not alone—something sinister lurks on board. As his crew falls one by one, Tom becomes the last hope to stop it. Teaming up with the sole other survivor, Hansen must fight the inhuman threat and track down its core for a showdown that could determine the fate of the entire human race.
