Summary
In early April, Sendou Kazuki is invited by his friend, Kuhonbutsu Taishi, to join him at Tokyo Big Sight. He's shocked to see thousands of people lined up waiting to get in. It turns out they're at Comic Party, a massive doujinshi convention. Inside, Kazuki meets several doujinshi artists and is pleasantly surprised by how much he enjoys their creations. Taishi encourages Kazuki to start making his own doujinshi after the event, recognizing his artistic talent. However, Kazuki's childhood friend, Takase Mizuki, tries to dissuade him, claiming that otakus are gross, unclean, and unpleasant. Her arguments fall on deaf ears, as Kazuki has already decided to create his first doujinshi.
