Summary
Confidential Mission is a shooting game compatible with light-gun systems, similar to Sega's Virtua Cop series. You take on the role of either Howard Gibson or Jean Clifford, elite agents in the style of James Bond, as you progress through missions where you must eliminate enemies while striving to minimize harm to civilians.
Storyline
A terrorist group has hijacked the World's Coalition satellite. The Confidential Mission Force (CMF) dispatches two elite agents, Howard Gibson and Jean Clifford, to uncover the truth. Their first stop is a museum, where they discover that the organization "Agares" is responsible for the satellite theft. As soon as they obtain the data disc, one of Agares' top figures tries to stop them. After securing the disc, they are sent to a train moving through the mountains. There, they learn that Agares has captured satellite programmer Irina Mikhailova and is forcing her to alter the satellite's programming. Howard and Jean successfully rescue Irina but are confronted by the General, whom they ultimately overcome in an intense battle. With Irina's help, the CMF tracks down the Agares Headquarters, where the satellite control is being moved to a submarine. Howard and Jean navigate through the base and confront the Agares Ringleader, who intends to use the satellite to annihilate the CMF's main base. After defeating the leader, he triggers a base self-destruct and flees in a submarine. If the player completes the final quick-time event, the agents use the satellite to sink the submarine and eliminate the Ringleader. Howard and Jean then escape, saving the CMF from destruction.
