Congo's Caper

Summary

Congo the monkey and his girlfriend, Congette, were just going about their day in the jungle when a magical ruby fell from the sky and transformed them both into half-human creatures. To make things even worse, the ruby also summoned a demon kid who snatched Congette and ran off. Now it's up to you to track down the kid and rescue your girl, all while getting used to your new body. Your journey will take you through haunted towns, pirate vessels, ninja fortresses, and even inside a Tyrannosaurus. The game features 35 side-scrolling levels filled with action, and you'll face off against a variety of wild animals trying to stop you. As you run, leap, swim, fight, and dive your way through the adventure, watch out for special gems that grant powerful abilities and unlock hidden levels.

Storyline

The main character, Congo, embarks on a mission to rescue the captured Congette. He is a "superkid," a monkey transformed into a half-human. Taking damage will revert the player to their monkey form. Gathering three rubies will transform the player into Super Congo, unlocking unique abilities.
