Summary

This is the Family Computer (Famicom) version of Contra. Although the American and Japanese ports appear alike and use the same visual style and game engine, the Japanese edition includes extra content such as enhanced background animations, new cheat codes, and—most significantly—story cutscenes that explain the game's narrative.
