Summary
The residents of the small and unremarkable planet Blot have decided to abandon their home in search of a cooler, more stylish world, eager to escape the uncool label of "Blotians." Until they find that perfect new planet, they refer to themselves as the Fuzzy Wuzzies. Their colony ship suffers a collision with an asteroid and crash-lands in the Pacific Ocean, close to an unknown island. They claim the island as their new home, dubbing it "The Hippest Place in the Known Universe." Unfortunately, the island is already inhabited by some very unfriendly demons who are deeply disturbed by the Fuzzies' joyful presence and their ridiculous new name for the place. The demons lure the Fuzzy Wuzzies in by throwing a huge party, then trap them in a net and drag them off to their torture chambers. The only Fuzzy who manages to avoid capture is Clyde Radcliff, who was already off being ill in the bushes. He awakens the next day with a terrible headache and a mouth full of fiery breath, and immediately sets out to defeat the demons and save his friends. The game is divided into three levels, each containing three stages. The first two stages of each level are side-scrolling platformers where Clyde must eliminate enemies, likely by using his fiery breath. At the end of each stage, Clyde encounters a witch who can offer him new shooting abilities or enhance his existing ones, in return for 'magic potion creatures' collected throughout the stages.
