Summary
Custom Robo Arena, referred to as Gekitō! Custom Robo in Japan, is a sci-fi action role-playing game developed for the Nintendo DS. It marks the fifth entry in the Custom Robo franchise. The title was revealed on May 9, 2006, during the E3 event, and launched in Japan on October 19, 2006, followed by a North American release on March 19, 2007. It then made its European debut on May 25, 2007, becoming the first Custom Robo game available there, and later reached Australian audiences on September 20, 2007, as the first in the series to be released in that region.
In the game, players compete in Custom Robo competitions, aiming to collect funds to purchase components that enhance their robot. It is the first game in the series to include a two-player mode through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, offering features like voice chat, Multi-Card support, and DS Download Play. Custom Robo Arena also introduces a "Rivals" list for tracking competitive opponents.
