Storyline

In 1619, a pirate sloop named the Sea Devil seized a Spanish merchant vessel known as the Santa Susanna. Before it could reach its intended port, the Sea Devil was caught in a violent storm and crashed onto the unknown shores of Cutthroat Island. Only one survivor emerged from the wreck—Fingers Adams. As he lay dying, he created a map and split it into three parts, entrusting each to his rightful heirs. In the year 1688, as Morgan Adams, a pirate in possession of one of the map fragments, the player embarks on a mission to recover the remaining pieces in pursuit of the legendary treasure. Already marked as a fugitive, Morgan must battle both the authorities and rival claimants who also seek the lost parts of the map.
