Cyber-Core

Summary

Cyber-core is a vertical scrolling shooter where players battle swarms of insects. The core concept is classic: eliminate threats before they can damage you. After three hits, your chitin armor shatters, and you lose a life. In addition to airborne foes taken down with your standard weapon, players must also confront ground-based enemies that require one of the game’s unlimited bombs to destroy. Players can choose from four different insect forms, switching between them by collecting corresponding power-up symbols. Accumulating more of the same symbol enhances your insect but also increases the challenge. Additional power-ups include smart bombs, extra lives, armor restoration, and protective shields. The game allows for toggling rapid fire or adjusting the speed, and features large boss enemies both at level ends and throughout the stages.
