Cyber Police ESWAT

Summary

The game is a side-scrolling platformer inspired by Shinobi. It takes place in the near future, where players take on the role of Duke Oda, a blonde police officer who gradually transforms into the cyborg E.S.W.A.T. across multiple levels. Initially, as a rookie in the Cyber Police department in the city of Liberty, the player must clear the streets of a massive crime surge and eliminate the most dangerous fugitives. In the first two levels, the entirely human Duke Oda is limited to a single-shot weapon and can only withstand one hit. A second hit will result in his death.

Storyline

A secretive and technologically advanced group known as "E.Y.E." swiftly moves to seize control of the entire city. After completing the second level and receiving a promotion, Duke Oda is equipped with a powerful exosuit called the "Ice Combat Suit." This armor grants the player access to new, deadlier weapons, including the "Super Shot" plasma rifle, rocket launchers, and a powerful fire-based attack, provided they can locate them. The player can also use a jet pack with limited fuel that gradually refills over time. Additionally, the suit increases the player's durability, allowing them to withstand more damage before being defeated. However, due to the suit's bulkiness, it becomes more difficult for Duke to evade enemy attacks. In the final confrontation, the leader of E.Y.E. is revealed to be an AI-controlled robot working to mass-produce its own ICE Combat Suits in an effort to conquer Liberty.
