Cyberpunk: The Arasaka's Plot is a mobile game inspired by Mike Pondsmith's tabletop RPG Cyberpunk. It's a side-scrolling platformer reminiscent of Flashback, where the player can move left and right, run, jump, crouch, and climb up and down ledges. In battle, the player can shoot enemies from a distance or use close-range melee attacks. After defeating foes, the player can collect their armor and any items they possess. Discoverable items include implants and new weapons. If the player takes damage, medic kits can be used to heal. Throughout the game, the player can interact with computer terminals by hacking them, which allows access to weapon upgrades, stat boosts, and locked doors. Some terminals also contain links to the game's official site, offering more background story. Hacking requires a mini game similar to QIX. While the game features light RPG elements, the player's stats automatically improve as they advance. Additionally, implants can be equipped to grant special abilities that give the player an edge.
The player assumes the role of Sam Gibson, a man with little memory of his past before becoming a hired assassin for a powerful corporation. It's now 2022, and Arasaka wants him killed. Framed for murder, Gibson must uncover the truth and discover who is responsible for the conspiracy against him.
