Summary
Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is a side-scrolling shooter created by Pyramid and released by Taito. It's the latest entry in the long-running Darius franchise. Much like its predecessors, the game is a quirky sci-fi action title set among the stars, featuring underwater-inspired enemies, often in the shape of mechanical fish. Continuing the series' unique style, it offers branching routes rather than the standard straight-line gameplay seen in many other games. Limited Run physical edition.
Storyline
1904 D.C. (Darius Calendar)— When a Belser virus shattered the hyperspace network, every ship in the human space fleet with a network link lost all communication. The resulting chaos led to the fleet being decimated in an instant. The Silver Hawk fighters were the only vessels from Planet Darius to survive the slaughter. Armed with Burst technology, these two advanced ships were assigned to humanoid AI terminal Ti2 and test pilot Riga Pratica. Piloting the Silver Hawk Burst fighters alone into enemy lines without network support, the two warriors risked everything against impossible odds to secure victory and freedom for Darius. It is now 1910 D.C., and repairs on the hyperspace network are beginning to reunite the scattered remnants of humanity across the cosmos. Combat data sent from Darius soon leads to the mass production of Burst-equipped Silver Hawk fighters in every inhabited galaxy. The stage is set for humanity's great counterattack. A team of heroes takes to the skies, soaring into battle and into legend.
