Summary

Tricked by dark forces into hastening the world's end, War—the first Horseman of the Apocalypse—is charged with violating divine law by sparking a war between Heaven and Hell. In the chaos that followed, Hell's demonic legions overpowered the celestial armies and seized control of the Earth. Standing trial before the sacred Charred Council, War is condemned for his actions and stripped of his powers. Branded a traitor and facing execution, War is given one last chance: return to Earth to uncover the truth and bring justice to those who betrayed him. Chased by vengeful Angels, War must battle Hell's armies, form fragile pacts with the demons he once pursued, and traverse the shattered ruins of the world in his fight for redemption and revenge.
