DDRMax: Dance Dance Revolution 6thMix is the sixth installment in the Dance Dance Revolution series of rhythm-based video games. It debuted in arcades by Konami on October 19, 2001, and while it was only officially launched in Japan, it can be found in arcades around the world. 6thMix includes a total of 42 tracks, 36 of which are brand new to the Dance Dance Revolution series. It was the first game in the franchise to introduce Freeze Arrows. The prototype version of the game also included some tracks from DDR 1st through 5th Mix. The game uses a refined and recolored version of the song wheel interface first seen in Dance Dance Revolution 5thMix, with added features such as customizable sorting options and an extended time limit.
