Dead by Daylight: Stranger Things Chapter

Summary

Stranger Things marks a fresh Chapter in Dead by Daylight. This Chapter introduces a new map, the Underground Complex, situated beneath the Hawkins National Laboratory. The new untamable Killer is a Demogorgon. Facing the Demogorgon are two new Survivors: Nancy Wheeler, a determined aspiring journalist, and Steve Harrington, a former high school athlete who seems to attract chaos. The Stranger Things Chapter also offers two unique cosmetic items: Steve’s Scuffed Rolled Sleeves and Nancy’s Torn Sweatshirt. This DLC was removed on November 17th, 2021, along with the associated edition. The map, The Underground Complex, was taken out of the game, and other Stranger Things-themed outfits were removed from the in-game store.

Storyline

It was the early 1980s, an era defined by Cold War tensions and innocent curiosity, a time of strange occurrences. In the quiet town of Hawkins, Indiana, hidden experiments were taking place. When a portal to another dimension was unintentionally opened at the Hawkins National Laboratory, a horde of creatures with elongated claws and monstrous, blooming faces emerged. These beings were dubbed “Demogorgons” by a group of local teenagers who faced them firsthand. Nancy Wheeler’s talent for investigative journalism first shone when she exposed a clandestine government operation in Hawkins after her best friend, Barb, vanished. Though she was let go from the *Hawkins Post* during the summer of 1985, Nancy remains undeterred in her pursuit of the truth... Once a star athlete, Steve Harrington is now searching for his place in Hawkins after high school has ended and his old friends have left for college. In the meantime, he’s working at the mall scooping ice cream, charming girls, and deciphering secret Russian messages. With the support of his friends Dustin and Robin, Steve is forging a new path and discovering the real meaning of friendship. It is this deepening bond that drives Steve to help his ex-girlfriend, Nancy, when he senses she may be in grave danger.
