Summary

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, created by Media.Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, is part of the Digimon franchise. It serves as the fifth entry in the Digimon Story series, succeeding 2011's Super Xros Wars, and marks the first title in the series released on home consoles. This Digimon game draws inspiration from and enhances many aspects of Game Freak's Pokémon titles, allowing players to Capture or Scan Digimons. The game's battle system shares many traits with the Conditional Turn-Based (CTB) mechanic featured in Final Fantasy X.

Storyline

Players take on the roles of Takumi Aiba or Ami Aiba, a male and female Japanese amateur hacker duo. They receive a device known as a Digimon Capture from an enigmatic figure in an online chat room. This device enables them to capture and form bonds with Digimon—digital creatures that live within Cyberspace Eden, a next-generation internet realm that can be physically accessed. After descending into the deepest layers of Eden, they are ambushed by a data-based threat known as an "Eater," which partially digitizes their bodies. As a result, they gain the ability to move freely between the real and virtual worlds through terminals. They are then contacted by Kyoko Kuremi, leader of the Kuremi Detective Agency, who enlists them into the agency's cyber division.
